Youtube Styled Logo

Here is a very simple tutorials on how to recreate your own version of the Youtube logo.

First you want to find a reasonable size original Youtube logo. Here is a good one.

Open in gimp and using the Clone tool, hold ctrl and click on a spot of red, like to the left of the "T" in Tube. Afterward, paint over the tube section.

Next you want to clone out the You and the Broadcast Yourself.

Now using the text tool you want to look for a font that matches the original, and write what ever you want. In my case I'm going to do "Rafi's World". If you notice no matter what size you pu the text it will not be high enough, so using the Perspective tool, you drag the top left and right corners to match up.

Now do the same in white in the Tube section, making sure the heights are the same. Merge layers and you're done.
